At least from my personal viewpoint, the following picture should be rare and very interesting for all "Hog" enthusiasts. It was posted by 442nd Fighter Wing Public Affairs in addition to previous releases on their public website.
John Tischhauser, 442nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron technician, checks the descent of the front landing gear on an A-10 Thunderbolt II phase inspection check as part of the inspection cycle, March 28, 2012. The 442nd AMXS is part of the 442nd Fighter Wing, an A-10 Air Force Reserve unit at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Senior Airman Wesley Wright) Hi-res
Please note: Take a closer look on the hi-res version for the nose landing gear mechanism. Two more related pictures will be uploaded soon.
