First A-10 deployment [127th Wing]

Released today by 127th Wing Public Affairs:

Pilots of the 107th Fighter Squadron step to the A-10s that they will deploy in as part of "Operation Demons to DM" January 9, 2009. After just six months of flying the A-10 mission from Selfridge ANGB, the 107th's "Red Devils" along with approximately 120 maintenance and support personnel, deployed to Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona. There, the Michigan Guardsmen will take advantage of the ideal weather conditions to increase training tempos to prepare to upcoming missions in support of global operations. The aircraft (from left) are A-10Cs 80-0222, 80-0265 and 81-0994. (U.S. Air Force photo by MSgt. Clancey Pence, 127th Wing Public Affairs) Hi-res

Lt. Col. Doug Champagne, 107th Fighter Squadron commander, gets strapped into the A-10 that he will deploy in as part of "Operation Demons to DM" on January 9, 2010. Related to partial ejection seat inscription, the aircraft looks like A-10C 80-0222. (U.S. Air Force photo by MSgt. Clancey Pence, 127th Wing Public Affairs) Hi-res

Maintenance personnel of the 127th Wing prepare to launch ten A-10s that will deploy in as part of "Operation Demons to DM" January 9, 2010. The aircraft (from left) are A-10Cs 80-0262, 80-0269, 80-0257 and 80-0221. (U.S. Air Force photo by MSgt. Clancey Pence, 127th Wing Public Affairs) Hi-res

Background info:
Looks to me at least the following eight (of ten) A-10Cs should be deployed to D-M: 80-0221, 80-0222, 80-0256, 80-0257, 80-0262, 80-0265, 80-0269 and 81-0994.

Both Warthog News contributors James O'Rear and Ned Harris from United States (well-known to me as top D-M photograpers) will take a lot of shots of 107th Fighter Squadron, 127th Wing, A-10Cs during their "winter" D-M deployment.
