9/3/2011 - KANDAHAR AIRFIELD, Afghanistan -- The 451st Air Expeditionary Wing has created a wing Facebook page to help connect deployed servicemembers with their families back home.
The 451 AEW page on Facebook will be a medium for families to communicate with the wing and see what life is like here for their deployed loved ones. It is also an open forum for wing members to post questions or requests of the wing.
The 451 AEW Public Affairs office will be maintaining the page and posting information to it, but everyone is invited to search for the '451st Air Expeditionary Wing - Kandahar Airfield' on Facebook and become a fan.
To get things rolling, PA will facilitate 'shout outs' to be posted on the wall. We'll take a quick video of a deployed servicemember saying hello to their family and friends and share it on the page for families to see.
With anything open to the public like this pageis, always be mindful of operational security when posting information. Do not post personal information such as your address, or operational information such as take off times.
