RICHLAND — Look to the skies over Richland late Saturday morning and you may see what was once a familiar site in the area — Warthogs.
A formation of A-10 Thunderbolt jets, nicknamed Warthogs, from the 127 Air Wing of the Air National Guard will be flying over during that 11 a.m. Richland Independence Day Parade. A-10s, a low-flying attack aircraft, were long based in Battle Creek before moving to the Selfridge Air National Guard Base near Mount Clemens in 2008.
The Richland parade committee received confirmation this week that the A-10s will be back for the parade flyover Saturday.
