5/5/2010 - MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Moody is scheduled to host the Moody Community Appreciation Day Airshow Nov. 13. The event is free and open to the public.
The last airshow Moody hosted was in 2007 and approximately 40,000 from throughout Georgia were in attendance.
"As commander of the 23rd Wing at Moody, I invite members from our community as well as those who live outside of the local area, to join us for what is sure to be a memorable event. This is an opportunity for you to meet the great men and women in uniform and see firsthand why the U.S. Air Force is the world's dominant air and space power.
"We are planning an exciting day full of aerial demonstrations, in addition to multiple ground displays of both military and civilian aircraft," said Col. Gary Henderson, 23rd Wing commander.
As information becomes available it will be posted to Moody's official website. Visit www.moody.af.mil for additional airshow information.
