A-10 Pilot reaches 3,000 combat flight hours
Brig. Gen. Mike Holmes, 455th Air Expeditionary Wing commander congratulates Lt. Col. Sam "Spam" Milam, 75th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron commander, on February 28th, 2009, as he completed his 3,000 combat hours at Bagram AB, Afghanistan. Capt. Bob "Grim" Burdette, 75th EFS pilot, and Lt. Col. Sam "Spam" Milam, 75th EFS commander, complete a mission at Bagram AB, Afghanistan, on February 28th, 2009, that gave Colonel Milam more than 3,000 combat flight hours. "I am very happy, it was a lot of hard work and its a great thing. Many man hours go into each flight and its a great accomplishment." He also thanked the crew chiefs because without them, they would not be able to do their mission. Both pilots are deployed from Moody AFB, Georgia.
