A10s take off for NATO exercise

9/4/2012 - SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – Maintainers from the 52nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron conduct launch inspections for A-10 Thunderbolt IIs from the 81st Fighter Squadron before takeoff on the flightline here Sept. 4. The 81st Fighter Squadron is leaving for Ramstein Rover 2012 (RARO12), a month-long tactical flying exercise held at and around Namest Air Base, Czech Republic. More than 15 nations are participating in the NATO partnership building exercise, which will give each nation the opportunity to share joint tactics, techniques, capabilities and procedures. This month-long tactical flying exercise is held at and around Namest Air Base, Czech Republic. More than 15 nations are participating in the NATO partnership building exercise, which will give each country the opportunity to share joint tactics, techniques, capabilities and procedures. RARO12 provides supreme pre-deployment training for air-land-integration elements in international security assistance force theater scenarios.   1. I want to give a big compliment for the pictures that Senior Airman Natasha Stannard had make of the A10's of Spangdahlem. I'm a very big fan of the A10's from Spangdahlem!! I been also on the Open House on Spangdahlem at 2011 and it was great to see this plane flying and meet the pilots of Spangdahlem!!Through this way i can still enjoy this amazing plane into the last year on Spangdahlem (how sad is this!!).
