Last day at TIA

Released by 355th Fighter Wing Public Affairs

4/29/2011 - TUCSON, Ariz. -- For the past month, aircraft maintainers and air crew stationed here have been working in different surroundings. The Airmen were uprooted from the comforts of the base flight line and moved to various locations, specifically Tucson International Airport, to make way for runway maintenance required to preserve its integrity.

TUCSON, Ariz. - A-10 aircraft line the flight line at Tucson International Airport here April 27. D-M closed its runway in March for routine maintenance which pushed many of D-M's flying missions, to include A-10, C-130 and air sovereignty alert F-16 operations, to operate out of Tucson International Airport and other locations.
