52nd FW Airmen return from deployment

10/4/2010 - SPANGDAHLEM AIR BASE, Germany – 52nd Fighter Wing Airmen who were deployed in support of the 81st Fighter Squadron return to Spangdahlem Air Base October 1, 2010. Note: Please take a closer look on the patch on Capt. Josh Arrowood's left arm. There's an Arabic "ten" for "A-10" and the inscription "Panthers 2010". It could be an official deployment patch of the 81st EFS's latest combat deployment.

  1. Does anyone else find it weird that the A-10 patch is in Arabic, yet they don't speak Arabic in Afghanistan?

    1. That's just the written language out there. They speak a few different languages, but Arabic is written, due, in part, that most Afganis, that can read, can read Arabic.
